Pair of Sterling Hollowware Weighted Console Candleholders #621 Westmorland For consideration is this vintage pair of matching sterling hollowware weighted console candleholders (or candlesticks) made by Westmorland Silver Company, Wallingford, Connecticut. Westmorland Sterling Company was founded in 1940 through the joint efforts of Wearever Aluminum Inc. and Wallace Silversmiths. Wallace manufactured the sterling flatware under the Westmorland name. These feature a simple base with a banded design near the edge and the stems have a single accent node; the bobeche is slightly flared. Both measure 4¼ inches tall and the base measures 4 3/8 inches in diameter. They are marked with the Westmorland ram’s head logo followed by “Westmorland Sterling Reinforced with Cement 621”.
