Grueby Pottery matte green large vase 3 curled leaf handles Arts & Crafts Boston - $5,995 - (Cambridge, MA)

Here is a very nice, big, Grueby Pottery bulbous form leaf vase with 3 broad leaves and thin leaves in between which curl over at the lip forming tab handles. It is covered in a thickly curdled and separated matte green glaze which thins in places highlighting the tooled leaves. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, just 2 kiln shelf stilt pulls which barely show on the side. Marked under the glaze with the Grueby Pottery Boston USA die-stamp and a con-joined RE for decorator Ruth Erickson. It measures 9 3/4 inches tall and 8 inches in diameter at the widest. A good large piece from the quintessential Arts & Crafts New England art pottery.
