Witoto Amazon Tribe South America Ceremonial Medicine Beadwork Necklace Colombia - $90 - (Williams, OR)
This is a handmade glass seed bead native made and designed medicine necklace which comes from Colombia. This necklace was made by an amazing Witoto female elder who still upholds the traditional ceremonies and teachings of her tribe. Witoto also spelled Huitoto are indigenous South American Indians who mainly live on the Putumayo river and its tributaries, in the Amazon region of Colombia. This beadwork ceremonial necklace measures 13.50 inches long from the bead button and beaded clasp loop to the bottom of the lowest flower. The distance around the top of the necklace which would be around the neck and chest is about 20 inches. The button is a glass bead which fits tightly into the beaded loop clasp for an extremely secure hold. Very lovely, this is a very special bead necklace made by a very special elder and would make a fine addition to any South American art and craft collection or would be perfect for any bead lover's jewelry box also would be amazing to wear to ceremony.
