This is a quote from Robert Louis Stevenson which appears on the top and bottom bands of the napkin ring. Between the two parts of the quotation is a wonderful scene of children sharing fruit, peeking over a fence, feeding birds, and observing nature. There is an 8 sided cartouche with an intricate monogram. On the interior of the napkin ring is the Kerr symbol, "sterling." and the number 1551. The napkin ring is in excellent condition with only a couple of very minor dings along the rims. The diameter of the opening is 1.75 inches and the width is a tad under 2 inches.
