FRENCH SILVERPLATE "Adrian" Helmet TEAPOT SPOUT INFUSER ,Antique Early 1900’s - $55 - (Port Ludlow, WA)

Here is a unique antique Circa early 1900’s figural teapot spout infuser in the shape of a French guard’s Adrian helmet; it even has a buckled strap for under the chin, and attached to the strap are two prongs for insertion into a teapot’s spout. I find no hallmark so have to assume it is silver plate. (The Adrian helmet was supplied by the French to the Russian troops during World War 1 and was named after its inventor/designer.) This tea infuser measures 2-1/4” from the front of the helmet to the back; it is 1-5/8” wide and a little under ¾” deep. The length of the strap is approximately 3-1/4” and it is 1/8” wide. The prongs that fit into a teapot’s spout are 2-3/4” long. Aside from the fact that the strap is a tiny bit dented, overall condition is excellent. It weighs approx. ½ an ounce and will be sent by First-Class Package post; packed wt. 6-ozs. Payment by PayPal within 3 days of auction end, please. Feedback reciprocal.
