Moorcroft Octagonal Bowl 1940's WALTER RARE ORCHID Green Ground Attempted Flambe - $850 - (St. Louis, MO)

Beautiful Walter Moorcroft octagonal bowl, ORCHID design. 10 inch x 10 inch x 2.5 inch tall. Impressed Moorcroft stamp and Walter signature on the back indicate bowl is from the late 1940's. Possible attempt at flambe due to color on ground. No obvious faults except for small (4mm x .5 mm) loss of glaze and several firing pin prics on edges. Colors are vibrant.
