Eaton Weatherhead T-300 Hydraulic Fitting Machine. Aeroquip Screw On Not Crimper - $850 - (Clyde, NC)
This is an Weatherhead T-300 Hydraulic Fitting Machine. This machine came from a military hydraulic repair trailer and it appears all the items on the trailer saw very little use and spent most of the life in storage. It was covered in preservative grease that I have mostly cleaned away but the buyer will want to clean it more. This machine is for installation and removal of the reusable field attachable fittings and is not a crimper. Eaton now owns Weatherhead and markets a very similar machine under the Aeroquip brand, I am not sure if there is any difference between them. NAPA Autoparts still markets and sells this machine and supports them for fittings and supplies. This machine appears to be fully functional. The front vise opens and closes, the jaws adjust to hold the fittings and the machine rotates as it should when the pressure switch is pressed. The only functional defect I can detect is that the safety interlock that stops the machine from turning when the guard is open does not work and the machine will still operate with he guard open. I have not checked to see if it needs a new switch or it was bypassed. It was common for these switches to be bypassed because users wanted to work faster and have better visibility. I do not have any hoses or fittings to do a full function test so this is sold as-is because I cannot fully operate it. However I will guarantee that the front vise works, the chuck/jaws for holding the fitting works and the machine powers up and turns fine.
