1965 "GREEN LANTERN" Vintage DC Comics Ben Cooper HALLOWEEN COSTUME In The BOX - $350 - (Buffalo, NY)
From 1965, this is a vintage...original..BEN COOPER HALLOWEEN COSTUME IN THE BOX for the iconic DC Comics superhero "THE GREEN LANTERN"...to some,this was always considered to be on of the "Holy Grail's" of vintage superhero Halloween costumes..!..this one needs to be seen to believed..as you can see this one comes in the classic superhero box and not the plain Ben Cooper box that I have seen it in a couple times over the years..the box measures 8.5 X 11 X 3 inches and comes all complete and in VFN-NM condition with the slightest of wear and the original cello INTACT and UNBROKEN..!..the mask is bright and clean with just a bit of age wear to the chin as it has the slightest dirt rubbing ..no crack or damage..just missing the elastic (which can be easily replaced)..the costume itself is a LARGE size 12-14 and as you can see is still very bright in color..its solid and all intact with clean graphics..the bodysuit displays fantastic but is not without flaws...i have tried to take very close up pics to show them better..there are a couple faint stains on the left and right sides of the top...back opening..2 very tiny holes on the upper right shoulder and a stain on the bottom of the left leg...also looks like the legs were sewn up about an inch when worn and then neatly let back down..all in all it looks like it was worn maybe once or twice and that was it..!..i just want to make sure everything is made aware to the buyer..still you will be hard pressed to EVER find another one like THIS ONE....ANYWHERE.!!
