Beautiful antique poplar index card filing box. Made by the Weis Manufacturing Company of Monroe, Michigan. The Weis label has a little damage but is still bright. The box measures 6 5/8" long x 3 3/4" deep x 5 1/4" tall. Inside is 6 1/8" long x 3 3/4" deep x 4 5/8" tall. The box is constructed of 1/4" thick poplar and uses fingerjoints for strength. Original solid brass hinges. Does need refinishing. Excellent condition. All joints are solid. Opens and closes well. Wear and scratches to wood finish. No cracks. Includes alphabetical index cards.
