Very old handled sweet grass basket with brown ochre paint. See photos for wear expected for age. Size is 8.5” x 10”, with handles it is 12” across and 2.5” deep. Coiled sweetgrass. I purchased this from a reputable antique store and was told this was Choctaw and made in the early to mid 1900’s. I can’t find any Choctaw baskets like this. I think it’s Gullah. I’ve owned this for many years. I have another antique Gullah basket for sale, check my listings. I have been selling on eBay for 19 years with lots of repeat customers and a great seller rating. ?
