Offered for sale is a lovely ceramic cup and saucer in the BLUE WILLOW pattern, made by Churchill of England. They are decorated with blue-on-white underglaze designs in a classic oriental pattern. The cup has the scenic designs of a pagoda, bridge, boat, and birds, while the saucer has ornate geometric designs forming a wide border. This pattern was introduced in 1989. The cup was made in more than one shape -- this straight-sided shape is called the large flat cup. The cup measures 3 1/4 inches (8.3cm) in diameter at the rim. and stands 2 3/4 inches (7.0cm) tall. The saucer measures 5 1/2 inches (14.0cm) in diameter. A U.S. quarter is shown in the first three pictures, to give an accurate impression of the size at a glance. The cups and saucers are free from chips, cracks, and scratches, and have no crazing of the glaze or fading. All my items are from a SMOKE FREE home.
