This is the Constructo #80821, 1:90 scale model of the Cutty Sark, a 3-masted Clipper Ship w/Plank-on Frame construction for the advanced modeller. This ship kit is from a leading naval model maker. Features include: Traditional double plank on frame construction. Factory precut keel and all main frame parts. Highest quality planking , american walnut and fine lime woods. All fittings are presented in useful clear hard plastic boxes with separate departments. High quality fittings in old style burnished diecast metal or real turned brass. This kit has never been opened and is completely factory sealed. This legendary ship was launched at Dumbarton on the river Clyde, Scotland, on the 22nd November 1869 and was especially designed for speed in the Clipper races. She now resides in dry dock by the River Thames at Greenwich, London.
