Jim Davis SIGNED Garfield Just A Friendly Note 1988. One Just A Friendly Note, signed Best Wishes, Jim Davis. Letter is dated May 1988, and reads, "Dear Scott,Thank you for your wonderful letter. I'm delighted you enjoy GARFIELD and continue to follow the strip. Your support of my fat friend has kept him well-supplied with lasagna and has allowed him to remain one of the most popular comic strip characters in print and on television. Thank you. I have enclosed an autographed print. Enjoy!Thank you for your interest. Best wishes,Signed: Jim Davis" Both items in very good condition for their age as a result of normal wear and tear. This typewritten letter note is a cream colored parchment type paper, With a letterhead of a orange color Picture of Garfield with a bite out of the left corner of the letter. Measures 5 3/4 x 8 5/8 inches, with some yellowing throughout, edges and folds are normal wear. There is a red ink stain/smear of the signature at the end of Davis name, kind of bled into the back of the envelope from inside. The signature is in red felt tip pen ink.The beige color envelope measures 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches and has a opening at the top of envelope, and is postmarked Albany, IN and M7 J5 ink stamp on the back. Return address from Jim Davis and a Garfield double character stamp 1978, 1985 United Feature Syndicate, Inc. Addressed to Scott Boren in Scottsdale AZ.
