This book is a First Edition and First Printing of the UK adult edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, signed by J. K. Rowling on the title page and has Rowling’s special hologram on this page. This is a first printing (with the row of numbers on the copyright page going to 1). And, on the copyright page, this is a stated First Edition. The copyright page is shown in the auction pictures. I am not a professional book seller. In my opinion, this hardcover book is in Near Mint condition and has never been read. The book, dust jacket and pages are clean. The dust jacket is protected by a mylar covering. This auction has various pictures of this book so you can judge this book for yourself. The book you are buying and will receive is the book shown in the auction pictures and described in this auction listing. My understanding is that Rowling has used two unique holograms for her signed books. She used a smaller hologram with the numbers 21/07/07 (the release date of Deathly Hallows) during her 2007 US tour promoting the new Deathly Hallows book which she signed her Harry Potter books at four different signing events. My understanding is, after that, she used a larger hologram, which has a few identifying marks - her name at the top of the hologram, the words "Secure Valid" (which were also used with the smaller hologram noted above) and a picture of a lock (which was also used with the smaller hologram noted above). This book has this larger hologram as you can see in the pictures with this auction. This should provide confidence that this Rowling signature is authentic.
