Vintage 8-1/4" Spongeware Pottery Bowl With Wood Handle. This is a beautifully decorated spongeware bowl. This old stoneware piece is vertically ribbed as well. The metal bail connects to the bowl sides and remains in good usable condition with the wood section rolling freely. The bowl rises to a 3-3/4" height. There appears to be a 5-pointed star impressed in the bottom. Perhaps a knowledgeable viewer can identify and let us know who likely made it It is in good used condition showing expected normal use wear, likely for a 100 years or so. Crazing is evident along with spidering and glaze loss, nick's and chips with most shown in pictures. Comes with age!
