Rare Computer Lot Univac 1830 1824 CP-667 NTDS (Naval Tactical Data System) 30-bit 24-bit Remington Rand. This group of documents contain some of the rarest Univac Electrical Engineering and R&D notes, drawings, specs. The only existing copy of the 1963 Feasibility Study for the Univac 1830, troubleshooting guide for CP-667 (XN-1) / UYK Navships 94109 and Univac 1830 Ground Input/ Output unit, countless Univac Tech Notes, technical information about these Univac computers that are unknown to all. These chips were gold doped with 18-20k gold inside each flat pack as well as gold plated leads, pins and flatpacks. A picture of one of the typical earliest monolithic silicon chips is shown. It is a DTL (Diode Transistor Logic) 2-2-2-2 gate nestled in a pocket of 18 - 20k gold, connected with gold wires. These chips were used in the Univac 1830, CP-823/U prototype and the Univac 1824., circa 1964. These were the first digital Univac computers. The Univac 1830 was designed and built for the P3- Orion, Anti-Submarine Warfare avionics. The Univac 1824 was selected, designed and built for use as the guidance and on-board control computer for the Titan IIIC missle and the MOL (Manned Orbiting Laboratory). In the early 1970's, the US Navy donated the Univac 1830, CP-823/U prototype to Drexel University Electrical Engineering department. EE is what you studied for computing systems. There was no IT or computer programming back then. Included in these documents are the release papers from the US Navy to Drexel University, the Univac 1830 Operators Manual written by gradute students, notebook from early 1970's documenting daily operation at Drexe…
