Vintage Zorba Computer w/ Original Box, Manuals, Some Discs, Paperwork - $300 - (Sutherlin, OR)
I ended up with this a year or two ago and have avoided it as it is technology, which doesn't work well with me. But after tripping over it too many times, out she goes! This does fire up, but has a loose connection for the screen. When wiggling the keyboard cord where it goes into the body of the computer, the screen will light up, as you see in the photo. I actually caught it in "mid lighting", wiggling a cord and taking a photo is also not something I do well. Anyway, I think this is darned near everything that ever came with the computer. It has the original box, much of the paperwork and manuals, some extra paperwork for belonging to Zeus, a Zorba club back when these came out. There are even some of the old floppy discs. I think I may have left the operating one inside the computer but didn't realize this until I got everything boxed up to weigh it. I have a bad back and at this point I think I'll just leave 'er there. There are also some blank discs. The only issue I know of other than the screen connectivity issue, is the serial port cover up by the handle is cracked a bit and doesn't want to stay on. I do have a serial port cable to go with this, as well. There is also an old audio cassette with hand writing indicating "Audio User Manual Zorba Word Star. Now you know everything I do. The box measures 24"x20"x13" and this lot weighs in at just under 50 pounds. I think it should probably have an outer box with some packing to protect this old gem. I can have this professionally boxed at 26"x26"15" to save the original box. I will use these figures for the shipping calculator. Shipping includes insurance for your purchased price. Other than what I have indicated above, this is being sold as is, as I don't have a clue about it!
