Vintage Coco Joe's Hawaiian Menehune Beach Boy in Black Lava-based Resin - $25 - (El Prado, NM)

Up for sale is a Coco Joe's Hawaii Menehune Beach Boy. It is made from lava-based resin. It was made in Hawaii. The statue measures 5 1/4 inches long and 2 1/2 inches at it's highest point. At it's widest (the brim of the hat side to side) it is about 2 1/2 inches. It is in excellent vintage condition. Menehune's are dwarf people from Hawaiian mythology. They lived in the forests and valleys of the Hawaiian Islands far from humanity. In spite of the Menehune's rotund belly and lazy pose, they were said to be intelligent craftspeople who built roads, canoes, temples, fishponds, and houses. They were apparently anything but lazy. They are also said to be the original inhabitants of the Hawaiian Islands before the Polynesians arrived. Will ship within 2 business days of prompt PayPal payment.
