Very clever and original one-of-a-kind take-off on follow the yellow brick road. Wallace W. Tripp (1940-2018) was an American illustrator, anthologist and author. He was known for creating anthropomorphic animal characters of emotional complexity and for his great visual & verbal humor. He was one of the illustrators for the "Amelia Bedelia" series of children's books. He illustrated more than 40 books, including his own "Wallace Tripp's Wurst Seller". He also illustrated many greeting cards for the "Pawprints" line. Wally was born in Boston but grew up in rural N.H. and NYC. He attended the School of Fine Arts in Boston, Keene State College in NH, & studied English at UNH, teaching English for 3 years before choosing to devote himself to illustration full-time.
