The pack holds the batteries and you keep the pack in a warm spot on your person. The cord attaches to the battery compartment on the camera. The cord measures about 30" in length. The DB-2 is compatible with any camera that uses 2 "button cell" 1.5v bottom-mounted batteries (e.g. FM3A, F3, F2, FA, FE2, FM2, FG, FG-20, AND EM). Two 1.5-Volt "AA" batteries are required.
