Newcomb College Pottery 8.25" oak tree moon moss landscape vase Arts & Crafts - $4,495 - (Cambridge, MA)

Here is a beautiful Newcomb College Pottery scenic landscape vase in their signature matte blue green glazed, moon, and moss draped tree design. This vase has one giant oak tree with its branches wrapping all the way around with the full moon peeking through the moss and a distant tree horizon. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws. It is a good size at 8 1/4 inches high and 4 3/4 inches in diameter at the widest point of the baluster form. Marked with the firm's die-stamped NC mark, JM for the potter Joseph Meyer, a conjoined SI for decorator Sadie Irvine, and date code OB 55 for 1924. A fine example of the quintessential southern Arts & Crafts art pottery.
