Collectible "Bodyscape" Very Early print, Allan Teger, signed '77 - $79 - (Newark, DE)
A very Early Photograph, Made in 1977, this was at the beginning of Allan's metamorphis from college professor to art photographer and creator of Bodyscapes. Sometime in 1975,this teacher thought of a way demonstrate to his students the concept of viewing more than one reality at a time. This was the beginning of a major change Teger's life. He has given up teaching for art and has continued to make photography his medium. This print is an early version of riders, showing horse riders navigating a terrain which turns out to be a person's backside. This print was purchased by another artist and kept in a plastic envelope. It is signed on the front and dated '77, on the back is his name, and Newton, Mass. address. I believe he has relocated to Florida. Bodyscape print is 13 1/2 X10 1/2 on the matt, print only is 9 1/4 X 6 1/2. This is a chance to own a truly early limited edition of the Bodyscapes series!
