Vintage Cone, Spool-Cotton Crochet, Knitting Thread, 2 lbs+, Ivory color - $10 - (Greensboro, NC)
This listing features a very nice vintage cone/spool of 100% cotton crochet thread, manufactured by Standard Coosa Thatcher in the 1970's and 80's, marked, "#9 Ivory". The cone weighs 2 to 2-1/2 pounds, and is approximately 6-1/2" tall and 7" diameter at the base. Standard Coosa Thatcher was a highly respected manufacturer of yarn and thread in the USA. This thread has been boxed up and sealed for over 25 years and is in great new, unused condition. This thread comes from a family estate and was used to crochet very intricate Christmas snowflake ornaments. I am selling six of these cones individually, but will entertain an offer for all or part of them if there is interest. See the photos for close-up details of the yarn, cone, and labeling.
