OOAK Artist Bear "Maggie" by Kathleen Wallace of Stier Bears, Mohair - $145 - (Shawnee, OK)
Meet charming little Maggie, a wonderful Stier bear by American bear-maker Kathleen Wallace. Maggie is made from a pretty warm caramel (almost copper) mohair with glass eyes, hand-stitched nose and mouth, and suede paw pads. Five-way jointed. She has her sewn-in tag. Most smaller Stier's I've had have been very firmly stuffed, but Maggie is much more huggable. Maggie is such a sweetie! I have her in a cute dress that is not original to her, but have photographed her both ways. I will include the dress, unless you would rather not have it. About 15" I purchased Maggie from an avid collector who, I think, purchased her new. Maggie is in wonderful condition, clean and from my non-smoking, non-vaping home. Kathleen Wallace is one of the most beloved American bear-makers and her bears are highly collectible.
