18x24 oil on canvas folk art painting of a church which survived a fire. So many fires lately, I was inspired by a picture I saw online of a church standing in the background of a large tree charred from the wildfire in California somewhere. Features added to the church that weren’t in the picture are the stones and the hitching rail. Researching I found this was a movie set used to film westerns called Westworld. The Woolsey fire destroyed much of the set but left the charred tree and the church.
