Antique Arabian Desert Tent Scene Wall Hanging Tapestry~Heavy Velvet Rug 72x50 - $60 - (Hampton, IA)

Heavy! Large antique Velvet Tapestry. Large enough to be a floor rug! Very detailed Arabian "home" scene. Hand knotted fringe on 2 sides. Surely European made~probably French or Italy made! Probably dates around the 1920s. There is no rod pocket for hanging! Measures 72 X 50 (not including the fringe)I have not cleaned or treated this tapestry. It definitely looks like it was used as a rug. The top edge (lighter sky section) shows old staining. The whole tapestry looks slightly darkened or dingy from use and age. This could be from storage and age. Some wear at the edges and the fringe. Small fray holes at the corners. Velvet nap does not show wear. It does not feel dusty. We are a non smoking home.
