It has a copyright of 1840 along the bottom and the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge (SDUK)appears in the title block. It is from an 1844 Atlas publsihed under the authority of the SDUK, a copy of the title page is included for authenticity. The society was formed in 1826 and committed to the publication of the most upto date scientific findings for the dispersion of knowledge to the public. The maps are some of the most detailed of the period. Shows Mauritania, Hispania, Sardinia and mainly locations of the Roman period. Overall, a Beautiful Map that will frame up nicely. Size: The map image measures approximately 12 by 15 1/2 inches on a 13 1/2 by 16 1/2" page with a margin all around for framing. Condition: The map is in Good or better condition with overall tonal aging and superb color, blank on the reverse. There is some darkening around the edges, otherwise the map image is very clean with no distracting defects to mention. Payment Details: We accept most major credit cards through Paypal.
