LITTLE LULU1940s MASK FACE DOLL - $40 - (Santa Fe, NM)
Vintage 14" Little Lulu doll by Georgine Averill but she is unsigned (they were unsigned originally). This Little Lulu is slightly soiled with a dent on her left cheek, a rub on her nose and a few other marks but mostly just soiling on her limbs. Her dress is red cotton with cream colored rickrack and cream color collar with a red frayed satin bow. Biggest damage is that her shoes spit from the heavy stuffing. It would be an easy fix with some black cotton fabric. She has no underwear and I don't know if she did originally. Her hair is very clean, made of yarn, and her head turns freely from right to left. The back of her head looks like it's made of a black flannel material. She's still a very cute doll and would look great on display of a collection of comic book character dolls.
