Red Venetian White Heart 5mm Vintage Trade Beads, One ounce (approx. 200 Beads) - $3 - (Terrebonne, OR)

Apologies for the poor scan of these beautiful beads. They are a glossy, lovely medium red shade. I've had these beads for almost 25 years and have kept them stored in their original packaging. These 5mm Red Venetian Vintage White Hearts, known as "Cornaline D'Allepo," or Hudson's Bay Beads, were made with transparent glass over an opaque white core and traded throughout North America by French Trappers on the backs of ponies, giving them the name "Pony Beads".
