Vintage 1950s SNK (Sankei) Japan BIGHORN SHEEP Metal Cast Figurine - $15 - (Potomac, IL)

Hand painted hollow cast metal figurine of a BIGHORN SHEEP with a full curl set of horns by SNK (Sankei) of Japan, circa 1950s. Measures 3 and 1/2 inches tall x 3 and 3/4 inches long. Marked on bottom of the base SNK # 1659 with an eagle emblem. Although these were probably intended as a metal toy it's a handsome figure of one of North America's most coveted trophies and sportsman that has an interest in the 'Grand Slam' or sheep hunting this would make a nice addition to their collection as well as those interested in collecting wildlife figurines. Only condition issues is overall wear of the painted finish on along the seam of the back/rump is a 1/2 inch split. Actual weight is almost 7 ounces.
