PAIR Altec 1579A 1579C Plug-In Moving Magnet Phono PREAMPS w/ RIAA EQ - $25 - (Brewster, NY)

Please look at the photos carefully. What you see is exactly what you are bidding on. Up for auction this week is a PAIR of Altec 1579 RIAA PHONO PREAMP modules which plug into octal sockets. One of them is a 1579A, the other is a 1579C. They are similar, just different generations of manufacture. As you can see, the pin-out is the same for both. Both are designed for RIAA phono preamplification from a moving-magnet or high-output moving coil cartridge. Input impedance is 47kOhms. Expected output load is 600 Ohms (professional standard). Recommended power is 12VDC, with a maximum current draw of 18mA, in other words something any modern wall-wart power supply could handle. Included are two slightly-used octal sockets (pictured).
