Offering an updated working vintage 1960's CROWN MC-80 "Pill" Microphone. These mics were released in the 60's under many differing names and clearly "borrowed" the design of the iconic RCA 77 microphone with all the visual cues that made that mic so famous. These are consistently being snapped up for their iconic stunning appearance. The original crystal pickup elements employed always sounded poor right off the line and never lasted long, so this mic has been refitted with a higher quality SHURE (SM58) low-z dynamic element making for improved fidelity and strong output sound. The mic casing is average with some patina on the chrome parts. The mic body is about 6" tall and comes with an adjustable height mic stand, in total measuring 14"-20". The mic is hard-wired to a new 6' cable terminating with 1/4" male phono plug.
