Offering a rare 1930's UNIVERSAL XX Carbon Double-Button Ring Spring Suspension Microphone. This unit is all original, with a pickup element suspended by 8 springs anchored to the ring which acted as a crude shock/vibration absorber, and comes with a nice vintage art-deco 3 tier "waterfall design" desk stand with heavy cast iron base and nickel chromed riser. The nickel coated ring measures 5.5" in diameter, and the mic with stand measures 12" in total height. The Universal element has surface patina, and it should be noted that this type of carbon element requires an external DC power supply, so it being sold for prop or display. ** Universal Microphone Co.
