Vintage 1940S Shure 55C Fatboy Microphone And Accessories Working Antique Elvis - $395 - (Park Rapids, MN)

Hello my name is John. I restore, recondition vintage microphones for display, prop and functional use. I am offering this very nice 1940's era Shure 55C microphone with a 15 foot Shure cable and a Atlas extending desk stand. This is one of the nicest sounding 55 Fatboy microphones I have come across. Excellent out put and good pick up from a few inches out. The early 55 microphones came out in 3 models. The 55A was low impedance, the 55B was medium and this one, the 55C is a high impedance. Later they developed the 55 with the HML impedance change switch on the back which allowed for all 3 settings with one microphone. The cosmetic condition is well above average with one small area of scratching on the back. The chrome was well preserved as was the black silk screens with no holes or rips and nice color. No bent or broken ribs and both the Shure logo and model badge are in very good condition. The angle adjustment is tight and all threading is clear. One of the nicer examples of a working 55 around. The heavy metal base is 6 inches round and the height with the microphone mounted can be adjusted from 16 to 18 1/2 inches.
