This Altec 436B Tube Compressor is modded. Compresses smoothly. It is fully functional.Guaranteed not to be DOA. The black button to the right of the volume button is step wise -- seems to be the original release time.The black button to the left of the power button (and that covers 436B) allows variable changes to the audio output, sounds like threshold.Please see pictures of the inside to verify. Including a NOS Tung Sol 6CG7 tube, a NOS Mullard EB91 (6AL5) tube, a GE 6BC8 tube, and XLR I/O pigtails.The back is also modded with two RCA I/O jacks which I have never used.The Tascam DA-3000 in the picture is not included in this sale.
