For sale is an interesting transferware plate in the 'Toro' pattern by George Jones & Sons of the Trent Potteries in Stoke, Staffordshire, England. The printed mark on the back is faded, but the impressed mark very clearly belongs to George Jones & Sons, which began production in 1873.The plate measures 9 1/4 inches in diameter and is in very good condition. It is free of chips, discoloration, or repairs. There is a tight hairline crack on the back and some very fine crazing.
