1900's Mahogany Antique Fireplace Mantel Carved wood capitols Applied Carving - $1,495 - (Braidwood, IL)
This is an estate find, from right around the turn of the century, early 1900's. It is a mahogany fireplace mantel mantle surround that has wood carved capitols with a draped affect, applied carving under the mantel shelf, beaded decoration and egg and dart molding. It has a rectangular shaped bevel glass mirror that sparkles in the light, there are a few spots where the silver has flaked off back of mirror...very minor. Mantel has a height of 7ft 2" tall, 59 1/2" wide, and firebox measures 39" tall x 41 1/4" wide. The mantel has a 4" depth in the firebox, and overall depth to shelf edge is 11".
