This is a limited edition microphone made by AEG in Moscow. It is a high-end hand made tube microphone based on classic German designs using new and vintage parts. In case you missed our M49 run, which is now sold out, the is essentially the same microphone in the much more common U67, U87 sized body, making it cost less.This microphone uses a NOS mil spec, sub miniature 6s6b-V tube, which is a Russian made version of the famous Telefunken AC701k tube used in the original M49 design. A very low noise, very long life, subminature tube designed specifically for microphone use.The capsule is a single sided K67 clone, known as the RTT and AEG M3, it is an exact copy of the vintage German capsule who's name we can not speak for legal reasons, because AEG took apart a vintage 67 capsule and copied it exactly. It is intended as a flagship, all use microphone for any studio. It's ideal on vocals, room mic-ing, piano and strings. Anywhere you would use a vintage M49, U47, or U67.The microphone uses a vintage tube and a vintage German made RFT transformer.It comes with the cable, and a new AEG power supply unit. If you see other people selling AEG/RTT microphones and mods for more, keep in mind they are essentially the same microphones but on the second hand market, some people just like to take advantage of their reputation and rarity and resell them at inflated prices.
