Antique Tripodal Pole Fire Screen Needlepoint Mahogany WILD BIRD - $450 - (Marietta, GA)
Wonderful antique tripodal pole fire screen, in mahogany wood with a wonderful needlepoint/petit point picture of a wild bird. I estimate the age of this to be 1880 to 1910. Possibly French or American. The needle point is in fabulous condition, as well as the stand. The slide and the screw that adjust the screen up-and-down work wonderfully as well. The pole measures approximately 45 inches tall with an oval screen which is 19 inches wide by 14 inches tall. The needlepoint measures approximately 16.75 inches wide and is 12.25 inches tall.
