9 Signed HOLOPHANE Recessed Light Fixtures Glass Shades No 562 Industrial Era - $400 - (Rockford, IL)
This auction is for a Great Matching Set of 9 Circa 1960's Signed HOLOPHANE Recessed Type Ceiling Light Fixtures with Original Square Glass Shades Number 562. The fixtures measure 13" wide by 13" wide on the face by 12" deep and are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Each one comes with 2 side mounting brackets as shown so they could be used in a hanging track type installation. The shades measure about 10" wide by 10" wide by 1-3/4" deep and the face of the fixtures are hinged on one side so when you push up in the center they will unlatch and hang down. The recessed portion of the fixtures measure 12" wide by 12" wide by 10" deep and the face is held on by only 4 screws so is easily removable. I think the face portion could be removed and adapted for other uses like covers over other flush mount type ceiling fixtures or even wall sconces. These fixtures were just removed from the Main Downtown Rockford Public Library built in the 1960's and were working and well maintained.
