VTG ADVERTISING THIMBLE EAT BERMALINE BREAD SCOTTISH SCOTLAND CIRCA 1930's RED 2 cms (13/16") in height and it is 1.5 cms (5/8 inch) in diameter across bottom Montgomery & Co., Gimmers Mill, Huddington, East Lothian, Scotland, made a loaf which they called Bermaline Bread. The loaf was made from wheaten malt which changed the starch content into the more assimilable form of dextrin and malt sugar, yielding abundant food nutriment and energy. They advertised it as '' The Golden Bread For Glowing Health, Ask Your Baker For Bermaline.'' This thimble is a promotional item for advertising that bread and it has written around the bottom, "Eat Bermaline Bread". It is made from aluminium or mixed metal, with the '' Eat Bermaline Bread '' advert embossed at the bottom, with red painted enhancement.
