ANTIQUE PAINTED WOOD WIDE PLANK SHUTTERS ORIGINAL RED PAINT FOLK ART AAFA Up for sale are these fabulous old primitive shutters. They are large slat / plank shutters and they work. The have heavy storm style hinges on them. They are a wonderful red color with old worn paint. The paint appears to be all original on the front and back. The front paint is alligator-ed, worn, rubbed, scraped, chipped, nicked, edge-worn and patina-ed! Wow! What a great look!! We don't know the age or origin of these shutters but we do know that they are very cool looking!! In the top of the shutters, there are newer screws in the top / bottom ends, probably to shore them up. Please see photos for accurate detail and description. The pictures are pretty good for the color, especially the close-up ones. The shutters measure 48" H x 22.25" W x 1.00" thick and 49" H x 18.00" W x 1.25" thick not including the hinges / hardware. They weigh 28 lbs. together.Keep in mind that the paint is old and chippy in places. When we ship these we will take great care in shipping them out to you.
