Vintage Transom Window Opener Hardware-not incl. - 36" Rod - Push button Latch - $43 - (St. Louis, MO)
Vintage Transom Window Rod Opener Mechanism RARE Hardware - Not made anymore except reproductions which are much more expensive than the original - restored. Required transom hardware for that special renovation you are doing. Transom rod assemblies consist of the long rod, a shorter rod attached near the top of the long rod and is about 8” +/-. This shorter rod attaches to the offset bracket that attaches to the window. There are two intermediate attachment brackets (one near the top of the long rod and one below the shorter rod) to attach the assembly to the wood door frame.Third attachment is the actual push button device that locks onto the long rod. All of the items I list have all of these components. More information is available online for the assembly process.Push button locking mechanism on the long rod. Copper showing on this item (coating) on the steel. May need a little TLC to smooth it all out.No hardware/ screws included. Complete unit as I see it with all of the brackets for mounting and attaching to the door frame and window. I estimate 99%+ of the paint removed. You can finish it or leave as-is. One buyer said he uses spray lacquer to prevent rusting.See pix for dimensions of the unit and the mounting. Offset rod ( the rod that is attached to the main long rod, but attaches to the 90 degree bracket on the transom window frame) is approximately 8" overall. The window attached 90 degree arm is approximately 2 1/2" x 2". This offset arm is slightly crooked, but will work in application. Thanks for looking!
