Lidded German Beer Stein DBGM Pewter Lid, Colorful Figures in Relief – 7.5 in.hi - $20 - (Little River, CA)

Offered for sale is a lidded German beer stein. It has an embossed pewter lid and features a medieval tavern scene with figures in relief. It also has raised inscriptions in German around the middle and the base. Inside the lid are a hallmark and the initials DBGM, which stands for Deutsches Bundes Gebrauchsmuster (German Federal Utility Model) This mark was used after 1949 and indicates a registered design or patent. The original label is still on the base, and it reads “Gescnenke Neumann Rüdesheim/Rh”Condition: The stein is in excellent used condition. There are some tiny faint blue marks on the inside bottom that are hardly noticeable. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. The colors are still vibrant and there is very little, if any, wear.
