The color of this item is debatable. I think isit supposed to be gray and off white. However it has a purplish hue. The pictures do a pretty good job of showing the slight color variance.it is 5 1/2" wide including the "ears" handles.3" tall with the lid in place 2 1/4" in depth No chips or cracks.
