This is a Pre-Owned Collectors Plate by the Konigszelt Bavaria Company of Germany. This is the second issue in a series of Christmas plates by Hedi Keller. It is produced to the highest standards out of genuine first-quality porcelain and bearing the hallmark of Konigszelt Bavaria. Declaration of Authenticity & Origin, this document is to certify and register the accompanying plate Number c1147 as an authentic member of only edition of "Flight into Egypt" The hallmark of Konigszelt Bavaria is the collector's assurance that the traditional standards of excellence which originally made German porcelain world-renowned have not been sacrificed to today's market needs. Raw materials for Konigszelt Bavaria plates are selected with the utmost care and must pass rigorous inspection. The kaolin clay is meticulously processed to remove both air bubbles which can shatter the disc under firing and iron particles which can tarnish the whiteness of the final creation. This purified clay is hand-thrown on the mold. Then, in a process whose basic steps have not altered in more than a century, the plate is individually shaped, dried, fired, glazed fired and is given hand-applied decoration with more than a dozen colours. The result of this painstaking labor is a finished work of art like "Flight into Egypt" a work which will bring credit to the Konigszelt Bavaria name long after its creators have disappeared into history.
