Antique Chinese Rice Bowl - $15 - (Bowie, MD)

This is a very nice porcelain bowl gilded at the rim of the mouth and around the foot. It has been skillfully decorated with a floral motif. The recessed foot has a rim that is not glazed. "Made in China" is stamped on the base in English and Chinese characters along with a pagoda. The bowl dates to the late Republic period. There is no damage. Very good condition for age. The bowl has a 4 inch diameter.
