Up for your consideration is a Lionel No. 736 2-8-4 Berkshire Locomotive Type I with a No. 2671-50W Pennsylvania whistling tender - built 1950 - 1951. This Engine features a pill type smoke unit, a headlamp, Magnetraction, and a 3 position e-unit. It runs well in both directions and the e-unit cycles properly. This engine shows normal play wear that can be expected for an item that is over 60 years old, but does not have any cracks or breaks. The jewels and markers are in place. This engine has been cleaned and lubed. The smoke chamber has been cleaned and repacked. It smokes well. The tender has been rewired and whistle motor cleaned and lubed. The tender shell has one rear step missing. A good working and good looking set to build a layout or add to an existing one.
