W.S. GEORGE COLONIAL COUPLE SALT AND PEPPER SHAKERS - HARD TO FIND - $10 - (Murrells Inlet, SC)
From a local estate, here is a W.S. George Lido shape salt and pepper set with a Colonial Couple in the center. Each has three gold bands and filigree - one on the top, shoulder, and one on the bottom. In keeping with custom when these were made, the salt shaker is a little larger than the pepper shaker. The salt is 3 1/5" high and the pepper is 3 1/4" high. Both are in good vintage condition--no chips, nicks or cracks. No crazing. There is a gold paint puddle on the bottom back of the salt, made during the manufacturing process, and a little gold trim wear on the top of the pepper.
