MODEL OF A LARGE STEAM POWERED 2 STACKFIREBOAT OR OCEAN-GOING TUG Click images to enlarge Description A detailed early twentieth century model of what appears to represent a steam-powered 2-stacker twin screw, ocean-going tug, except for the two water cannons at the bow. Quick research did turn up a couple of such large, similarly equipped fire boats, in addition to many images of very similar tugs without the cannons. The model measures 21" long by 5" wide. It is constructed from softwood lifts, and is very detailed. Its in Original paint, set on an unpainted yellow pine base. Its in very good condition, though with some nicks, dings and soiling indicative of its age.
